Getting started with Real Estate

Cristian Mendoza
Posted

Hello All investors!
my name is Cristian from Dallas, Texas. I want to ask for your advise on getting started with real estate. I’m 24 years old with 0 debt and great credit. I’ve gathered about 10K in savings along with my girlfriends 10K. We both work full time jobs so we have constant income coming in. My apartment lease ends this September, and my plan is to buy a home that’ll help me get into real estate. However, im stuck on the type of property that would be most beneficial to my real estate portfolio. This is a place where I’ll likely be living in for about a year, so I was thinking something along the lines of a duplex. These are a rare find in Dallas nowadays, so maybe a single family home? But I guess my question is, as someone in the position that I am currently in, with my available resources, what would you do to propel your real estate career? I would really appreciate any insight or tips on getting started. I am as motivated as ever to begin my journey to financial freedom!
