I want to get started but i dont know the first step? Getting a real estate investing class? But 1 apartment? Whats the first step before anything?

Hi Jose,

1. Define your goals
2. Determine how active versus passive you want to be in your investments.
3. Look at how much liquid cash of your own you have to start with today. If you have no cash and no experience do not look for people to just give you money to get going.
4. Do you want to invest for retirement while keeping your career OR do you want to live off the cash flow of the properties and quit your job and do real estate full time??
5. How many years until retirement??
6. What kind of returns do you want and investing local or out of state?
