I am getting ready to buy my first fourplex with an FHA loan and was wondering if I am legally allowed to rent out one of the units as an Airbnb.

If it abides by local statutes and your loan conditions, it is very common now that the loan documents will specify that you cannot Airbnb but I've seen other omit. Always read the fine print.
