Hello all, newer investor here is starting out with a fire-damaged property too much to handle for a first deal? I know everyone's risk tolerance is different but would it be best to avoid and start with something more simple?

Yes, that's a tough way to start.......all kinds of headaches, and the local municipality getting involved to make sure its in good enough shape to get your CO. And are you skilled in any of the trades? Definitely do not take on a fire sale unless you are more than 'kinda handy'

I'm guessing its a screaming deal ? There will be other deals, they come along every day.

Best of luck...
