Introduction and ready to get started (Rental properties)

Hello everyone!

I hope you are doing great. I wanted to reach out to the BP community just to quickly introduce myself and tell people the plans I have in mind.

My name is Juan Pablo, currently living in New York City but originally from Bogota, Colombia. For the past couple of months I have been reading books, listening to podcasts, learning the deal analysis process, surfing marketplaces and doing several other things to better educate myself every day on real estate, especially rental properties. 

I am looking to start investing in residential rental properties in FL, initially focusing on SFH and Condos/Apartments to start getting a feel of the landlord experience. I want to take a leap forward building my network and take advantage of the amazing pool of knowledge in this community. I would love a chance to talk and share some thoughts with you to better understand the business and this particular market. In the process, I hope I can add value, create strong relationships with many of you and, in a not so distant future, be able to give back to other who come after me in a similar position to the one I am current at in this journey.

I have been looking into the Miami suburbs and FLL area, but have also expanded my research to Orlando and even smaller areas along the FL east coast. I have started to build a small personal network in FL and feel that, under my current financial and professional situation, this area presents a great opportunity to take the first steps and start creating generational wealth.
