A few Mentorship questions

I have posted before about looking for a local mentor without much luck.  I was hoping to connect with a few people who currently have great mentors or have had them in the past.  I would love some advice on how you found your mentor and how you cultivated the relationship.  I am, of course, willing to do whatever I can to help you as well :)

Hi Sarah! Something that worked well for me was really just building out my team.

I looked on the bp forums for local people that were very active and seemed to be providing a lot of value to the bp community. I also searched forums where people were asking for recommendations for realtors, contractors, lenders etc. Then I sent messages and set up calls with a few different folks in the area and talked to them.

Both my lender and my realtor (also both investors) have been incredibly valuable, and I have learned a ton from both of them. The big benefit of this is I can actually provide them with 'some' value by giving them my business and also passing out their contact info whenever I get the chance. And I get to learn a lot from them in the process of working with them, and can reach out to them with questions as I go.
