House Hacking a Single Family

Has anybody ever house hacked a single family? I am looking to do so in northern NJ and seller finance it actually. The market in NJ is super crazy right now so I’m not sure if it will happen as soon as I want it to but I figured I would post a question about it. Any and all advice or input is appreciated, thank you!
