Hello Bigger Pockets! My name is Simon Ribellia and I am an 18 year old in Moses Lake Washington looking at starting my real estate investing journey through the BRRRR strategy. One problem. I'm in the process of obtaining a credit card to start building my credit score but after talking to lenders that will take me some time. My parents would like me to move out at some point and Im trying to accelerate my progress so that I can do so. Does anyone have tips for how I can do this while I'm building my credit score? Thank you so much I appreciate the help!!!

@Simon Ribellia - I have a fantastic tip for you to increase your credit score pretty quickly which might accelerate your goals. A smart option for people with no credit history to boost their credit score quickly is having a friend or family member add you as an authorized user on their credit card. The great thing about this strategy is you can simply be listed as a user, never be given a card and still receive the same benefit. You simply “piggy back” off their good credit. The line of credit shows up on your credit score resulting in a lower credit utilization rate and increasing the average age of accounts, which are contributors to the FICO score. Take a moment to read this article, which articulates it way better than myself: https://www.nerdwallet.com/art...
