When should you find a good real estate CPA?

Newbie here, and wondering how many investment properties did you all have before finding a good CPA?Looking to get a first investment property soon, and wondering if I need one right off the bat.

If you can mess up 2 properties well.

You can mess up 10 properties well. Your options are either: work with a good pro from the jump, or spend enough time to fully understand REI tax reporting. This includes depreciation setup, and renovation writeoff/capitalization. This is where we see the most errors on new investor's returns that need to be corrected later.

There will be likely be benefit with just one property. The question is wether it is worth it to you to get a CPA at that point to make sure the return is as correct as it can be.
