Real estate broker license school recommendations??

Question

Hi PB community,

I'd really like to get a broker license in NC. I did a Google search and visited a few of the sites however, I'm still unsure which is a good program or what a good program consists of honestly😩. Has anyone completed a program they wouldn't mind sharing? Any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙂

In the past, I've used the CE Shop and Kaplan, both serve NC.  There are others specific to WA that I've used but won't do you any good.  I'm not sure about NC but in WA, it is too easy to get your license.  Best wishes on your real estate journey!

I just got my license using Superior School of Real Estate. The course is self paced and mostly text based, so I supplemented it with listening to Travis Everette's lectures of Youtube (highly recommend) and was able to pass both sections on my first try! I am in the process of doing my RE salesperson license through ProEducate - paid $115 for the course. Fairly straight forward class - completed the online certificate portion in about a week. Now time to actually study the material for the real tests

Kaplan is what I used. The online zoom course (not the self paced) was perfect, made sure you attended but also allowed for flexibility.

I was way over prepared except for that area and that was the focus. I passed the National the first time but had to go back for the state, because I didn't know it in and out. That and math lol

Hi Jamaal,

I used Real Estate Express for my MO Broker's license. I think I got it at $150 deal of the day. However, I got through it and REALLY studied my state real estate commission rules, regs and laws. It's not much different than the Salesperson courses/exams, other than problem solving skills and nothing online teaches you that. You should definitely give it a try, good luck!

Thank you for replying. I looked over the courses Superior offers the self guided course seems more my speed. I was going to go with Real Estate Express but they don't offer programs for my area. Knowing you and Grant  completed this course makes my hesitation vanish. I'm not familiar with Travis Everette, so I definitely appreciate you suggesting I check him out. Hey Jamaal! I got licensed through Superior School of Real Estate. They are the best place to go to prepare you for the national/state level tests as well as preparing you for what to expect during a real estate transaction. They definitely aren't the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for and their education is far superior (ha) that other schools or online classes. I did all of my post licensing and continued education through them as well.
