Petition to partition deals

Hi I am trying to figure out when I could get involved with a petition to partition deal as a listing agent? Do the courts usually appoint the agent to list these deals or would I have to have relationships with the tenants in common and their attorneys?

Thanks

I believe it varies by jurisdiction. Here in Texas - Harris County, the clients will hire their own realtor. Lawyers may provide referrals.
