Property managers

Questions to property managers that have built their company. How long did it take before it could support you? Is it hard to convince people to let you manage for them? Did you start with buy and hold and then start the management company? Is it possible to do in small towns or is the bigger metro areas better? Any advice and input would be great. It's something I have a lot of interest in and some background in.

Bobby you might want to connect with Chris Clothier on this.

I have some friends that do it and when you add a few hundred rentals and pay your pm's and all of that maybe 50k to 60k a year for yourself.

It's a grind type business built on volume. Never had an interest in it myself.

Now some turn keys that do PM work also make more on the turn key selling for profit and the PM work is just a little money to appease investors after the purchase.
