Where Do Most Real Estate Leads Actually Get Lost?

I've been paying closer attention to lead handling workflows lately, and one thing keeps coming up.

Most teams have a CRM.
Most teams have automated emails.
Many have text follow-up sequences.

Yet agents still talk about leads slipping through the cracks. I'm curious where people think the biggest breakdown actually happens.

Is it:

  • Slow initial response?
  • Poor qualification?
  • Inconsistent follow-up?
  • Leads assigned to the wrong person?
  • CRM data not being updated?
  • Something else entirely?

Everyone seems to be using different tools, but the challenges sound surprisingly similar.

For those managing a team or a steady flow of leads, where do you see the biggest bottleneck today?
