Any good training videos/seminars/tips for agents ?

Hey BP,

My name is Alex i'm nearly finished acquiring my RE license in Orange County. I am currently studying for my state exam but i feel like i need to understand the material more. If anyone has any helpful tips or advice , it would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks again cant wait to hear from you guys soon.

@Karen Margrave  Totally a good idea . I will keep that in mind about the training programs. That's true I shouldn't spread myself thin and just focus on one thing at a time . It's just that I am so excited to get this show on the road already!! Definitely will keep you posted. Thanks again

Maybe you could talk to some of the larger offices in your area and see if they're hiring new agents. If they are, you want to find one that has a training program. I see that Team First does a lot of hiring of agents, so maybe you can check them out if there's one by you.

First, focus on getting your license, so as not to get distracted. Then, learn the business. Keep me posted!

Well, it largely depends on what you see yourself doing.  It's not necessarily about size.  It is about culture if you are an investor.  The larger more traditional companies can be a bit of a pain IMHO sometimes, but if they are a 100% commission house, then it generally doesn't matter.  Passing the test should be fairly easy if you paid attention in class and study the test questions they gave you.  They many times are recycled test questions so It can help prepare you!    Get that test knocked out, and then get your dreams!

Alex focus on passing the test first. Do not learn other things except for the test as it will confuse you. A lot of stuff on those tests you will never use. Additionally things not on the test you will learn in real life how to transact and close deals.

One is a virtual world and the other reality.

No huge tips, as the exams in Idaho are no doubt different than in California.  Just keep your calm during the exam and take your time.  For me, it seemed several exam questions had a couple of correct answers, but one was considered the BEST correct answer.  I bet you do great if you are concerned enough to be asking these questions!

Sure @Alex Duarte, happy to provide it.  Here is the link to the blog post entitled "How to Pick an Investor Friendly Real Estate Company for Wholesaling!"  I'm not sure if that is the protocol or not but I hope that is helpful.

I think its personally important to have a Broker who is at least aware and has a basic understanding of what you are doing.  Beware of those "guru's" out there who teach you that wholesaling or investing as an agent is the same as it is for the unlicensed.  It isn't.
