An Interesting Sales Problem

A good friend has recently contacted me in regards to a primary residence that his parents own in Fremont, Indiana (not too far from Fort Wayne).

The property is a bit of a strange cookie. It's very large (multiple structures), sits right on a lake, and is in incredibly good condition. In some parts of the country, I imagine it's not to uncommon to see properties like this. In Fremont, Indiana, it is virtually unheard of.

As such, there is a bit of matching problem with potential buyers and the local market. Realtors specifically, what do you suggest in this situation?

My gut reaction suggests that it may be wisest to hit the foreign market for people who desire asset protection or have some other interest in the area.

@Trevor Ewen  unless this area of indiana has some other intrinsic value it very well could be a white elephant and only valuable to those that built it.

if a corp is going to buy a retreat its got to be in a place someone actually wants to go to not out in the sticks of Indiana is my first thought  :).

Church probably best bet... Maybe donate it and take a huge tax write off if they have the need
