Get a real estate agent license or not?

If you are just starting out in REI. Do you think it's beneficial to get a license in the beginning or just start out with an agent and eventually think about getting the license? Any feedback will be very helpful.

I agree with @Russell Brazil.  If you can lean on an experienced agent while you get your feet wet, that would be best.  It's a great feeling to get paid while your purchasing your investment properties and can help you make the numbers work in your favor.  Once you are buying enough properties to make it worth the cost of the license then go for it.  My husband wants to get his license because sometimes he needs to go look at properties without me and he can't.  Best of luck to you.
