Have RE License with a full time Job?

I have looked at the pros and cons, and I have decided that i want to get my RE license. However, I am not sure I understand the commitment it takes. I assume this depends on the broker you are under, but would I be able to keep my full time W2 job and still have a license or would most brokers require office hours and other commitments during the week? Any tips to get around this would be much appreciated. I just travel a lot for my job and can't give up the paycheck quite yet.

@Austin Davis I currently hold a full-time W2 job as an analysts and I hold a license. In the last 12 months I have sold 36 houses as a Realtor and still maintained a good status at my W2 job. Brokers do not care if you spend time in the office. You are just a 1099 employee and they only get paid if you get paid a commission. This is what is great about being a Realtor and being able to juggle both at the same time. Some on here will disagree with me and say holding a full-time job and being a Realtor is a disservice to my clients but I will tell you I have 36 happy clients with many more in the pipeline. If I was to quit my W2 job the day I obtained my license I feel that I would have failed as a Realtor and quit to early. It took me 7 months till I closed on my first deal. Then another 4 till the next one. After that they started happening more and more frequently to the point I am 22 months into this adventure and looking to go full time as a agent very soon.

The most important tip I can give you is to pick up your phone or return calls/texts/emails asap. I try to get as many clients to text or email me as possible, even 70+ yr old people can text. If you text at work this will save you hours of time on the phone.

    Good luck!
