Opinions on becoming part real estate agent

Currently I am looking at taking my pre license class to become a real estate sale agent (realtor).  In my current position I work from home 7-4.  I can take calls, make call, fax, email, any web related activities and have the limited ability to get out for an hour at a time. I also have evening and all weekends free. What worries me is that I go through the classes and not be able to find a broker that will take me on as I would have to be part time. My current job is great but I am afraid that I see the writing on the wall....

Please let me know if you think that becoming a part time realtor (at first) is feasible and if a broker would want a part time realtor such as myself...

@Eric W. You can make that work.  You might not win every client because you'll have some that need you during your work hours, but there are plenty of clients who can work with what you can offer.
