Obtaining California Salesperson's license with misdemeanor

Hi! I am writing to ask for experiences with the Calbre or other license issuing organizations. I have a 7year old sealed misdemeanor for shoplifting a $3.00 item. Since that time, I have made significant changes in my life including obtaining a bachelors degree, starting a charity organization, getting married, having a child, successfully completing three internships, and starting my own property management company in another state. My record is sealed but of course will show up in the live scan. Do you think this will stop my application from being approved ? I'm terrified. Thanks in advance:-)
