Realtor Relocating to Raleigh/Durham area from Philadelphia

Hey Bigger Pockets members,

My family and I are getting close to our move to North Carolina in August and I am trying to get a head start on some market homework. Currently I am a realtor in Philly, PA we are moving to Fuquay Varina, NC. I was hoping there were some other members on here who could offer some insight into the market in and around that area i.e. Raleigh/Durham, Cary, Apex, etc or better marketing strategies. Philly is very different and I am trying to figure out the best way to hit the ground running in an area I no nothing about. Any advice would be really appreciated to calm my nevers about starting at square one in an area that I have no sphere.

Welcome from Fuquay!

The market in the triangle area is very strong right now. Homes are in short supply, driving cost up across the board. Investment deals are tough to find, and will need to be found off the market right now.

I was born and raised in Raleigh but live in Fuquay now. I know the area well, but it can take a while to know all of the areas that you could potentially work in. It's a huge area and the markets can vary greatly between different towns and suburbs.

Do you know anyone in the area? Do you know which firm you'll be working with? If you have any specific questions feel free to reply or send me a message.
