To become a part time Real Estate Agent?

Hi Everyone! I've read a bunch of great advice thus far regarding working part time while practicing as a full time Real Estate agent. I was wondering what advantages and disadvantages others have found from the opposite scenario (working a full time job and practicing as a Real Estate Agent part time)? Looking forward to hearing everyone's responses. Dan

Good afternoon Daniel,

If your goal is to learn more about the business and make some extra $ while doing it, its a good decision to make. However, as the other comments state, it can be time consuming and there is a lot of back & forth involved.

That being said, its definitely possible. Heres a basic layout of what my days look like:

5am-7am: MLS research, follow-up emails & reminders, administrative stuff, RE education.

8am-4pm: Work. I often make phone calls to schedule appointments during lunch.

5-8pm: Property showings, listing appointments, follow ups.

After 8pm: wrap up and prepare for the next day.

As time goes on, you learn to refine your strategy and put your systems into place so that your time is well spent. I still struggle with this part at times but as long as its something you work on regularly, you'll be fine.

Best of luck to you!

-Abel
