Rental Client can't see the property !
Hi there,
This question is for RE agents out there. If a rental client can't see the apartment either due to being out of town or busy schedule, can an agent view the property on their behalf and have client sign the contract?
What are the legal stipulations for that? What if a family friend viewed the property instead? Or does have to be an agent?

@Faye Omar I have personally been the tenant who signed a lease without ever seeing the property (this was in Texas). I was moving from one state to another and needed housing lined up before I got there for a job transfer.
They communicated clearly that I was signing the lease without seeing it and warned me it was an older home etc. I knew the responsibility I was taking and when I arrived I was just happy to have a home to settle into. If you find responsible tenants, and the terms are communicated clearly, they will respect the legality of signing the lease. Best of luck! :)
