Investor starting as Agent, pros/cons
Hello All,
I am a new investor and while I am building capital, after some research via podcasts and web blogs/articles, I decided to get my license as a way to help generate some extra income. This seems like a very controversial topic as far as investing goes. Half of the opinions say it's a great way to start and the other half says it's not worth it. I'm curious to know some of the experiences out there starting as an agent when your main goal was to be an investor.
Did it help or hurt? Any issues with direct mail marketing, wholesaling or purchasing houses under value to make it worth while as an investor? I know you're supposed to be honest and fair and work in the customer/clients best interest at all times. Does it change the way you have to go about acquiring properties? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks all.
Matt
