Hello,
I need the expertise of the BP community. My girlfrind has recently got her agent license here in Michigan. (Brand New.) My quenstion is, could we pay finder fees to friends who may be able to bring potential clients? I know it is a beginners question, but we just don't want to do anything unethical or in violation of any regulations. Thank you in advance.

Hi James
That is a valid question.
It depends on your states real estate laws, but in Florida for example, no fee can be paid by a licensee to any member of the public that is not license. Maybe check your states regulations and laws in their website to be safe. But I can make a bet that it is consider illegal.
Hope this helps!
Happy hunting!

Here in Texas the most you can give to a non-licensed person is a $50 gift card. I think all 50 states have similar laws/regulations.
