BEING AN AGENT DURING A RECESSION
How were you able to dominate your markets during past recessions as an agent? What do you wish you would have done different and what are you going to do again when the next one comes?

I sold 3 properties in 2008, the last one in end of August 2008, Then September 2008 hit. I was not really paying attention and missed so many deals from 2010-2012. I missed it becuase I was working on another business and basically was not interested in properties basically falling in my lap. Trust me I kick myself.
So my key point of advice be aware, cognizant and study monthly where the market is going and spot the trends. We are not going to have a repeat of 2008, that was an anomaly, the market might go up it might go down, there are good arguments for both sides. Also remember each market is like the weather, its different everywhere. But the main thing to keep tabs on is interest rates, jobs growth, demographics and buyer sentiments. Babyboomers should downsize and millenialls will finally upsize. Figure out how and when to marry these two huge demographic forces that is where I am looking.
