What is best way to Obtain Real Estate License?

Question

Hello I am considering getting my real estate license in The State of Michigan. What would be my best route? Online classes or the traditional 40 hr classroom? Also wondering once i get license i assume i would have to work for a broker to do transactions? couldnt do my own deals without being registered at a local office I believe? Thanks for your help.

I'm currently in a real estate express  online course now. Ease of access is great. But in my opinion it's too much information and very frustrating. For example. Real estate practice course has about 20 quizzes. All of which are 15 to 25 questions each. Before you can take the final. You must score 100% on each quiz. TRUST ME this is a huge pain. For example. You read 20 to 40 short pages for a section then take a 17 question quiz at the end. If you miss 1 question you fail and you must retake the quiz with a new set of questions. You get 3 chances before u are forced to reread the material again. TRUST ME this sucks.

Some one earlier said the course is harder than the exam. I would agree and I think it's because they offer a full refund if you don't pass on your state exam on the first try. I'm looking for speed when I choose online and this is not the fastest option. I was told each oh the 6 courses requires 4 days minimum in order to move on. For 24 days as the fastest to complete the exam. With current delays in Texas licensing the 24 days is not a good thing.

All in all if your looking for a sure fire way to pass the exam. Then I would recommend them because you will be given so much info your head will likely explode. And they carry a 100% exam pass or your money back. They also give a full refund in the first 8 days if you don't like the course. But if you want speed there are schools who are About 9 days faster to finish.

Seeing as the test has almost nothing to do with being a successful salesperson of real estate, I would suggest the quickest, cheapest, and easiest way possible - online or home study. I took all the classes at the local community college to get my license. I took the home study/online courses to renew my license.

If you want to succeed, after you are done wasting your time with the state requirements, study some marketing, negotiation, and learn the contracts.

I got my license through Real Estate Express online. It was fast and easy and they guarantee that you will pass. In fact, I studied an extra month to make sure that I would pass and I probably didn't have to. They make the course harder than the actual test. And I just checked Michigan, only $269 for the complete package, that's about $80 cheaper than mine in PA !!!! Good luck and don't sweat it....Merry Christmas !!!!

Do you really want a RE License? When I mentioned it, My broker, Attorney and CPA suggested for the type of deals I was doing, it would be a detriment.

I am currently taking the California courses with Real Estate Express. I like the flexability and the all online courses but I don't like the time limits for the courses. The price was so low that I was worried the material would be poor but so far it's been good.
