Can you assign a contract through a realtor

Question

Just wanted to know can you assign a contract through a realtor.  I've seen some wholesale guru's cringe when hearing that question, they completely shun it.  And just as well some say it's good to start an active relationship with realtors because they come across a lot of good deals.  So what are you guys and gals thoughts???

1) agents won’t let their sellers go on contract with buyers who have no Legit POF/preapproval

2) automobile wholesalers don’t go to a retail car lot to buy for wholesaling

@Ahmad Royal   Probably not.   Not sure exactly what you are asking, so may warrant more explanation.   If you're thinking of getting a property under contract and then trying to have a realtor market that property, then probably not.  You would most likely need to close first, then have them market.   We really can't market something that you don't own.

Generally speaking, realtors use standardized contracts that are state specific. They will not agree to use a wholesalers contract. Standard real estate contracts do not allow assignment. Maybe some realtors will do something different on the side, but that is the main reason this doesn't work.
