refinancing options for brrr

Kyle Skyberg
Posted

I work through a union hall doing nuclear plant shutdowns  but it has always been a struggle with any sort of financing because my work is not a year round traditional job. I usually work fall and spring and some of winter and take off all of summer. with this being said if I wanted to use private or hard money to buy a property for a brrr deal would the bank still allow me to refinance the property into a mortgage to pay the initial lender back or would they be off put by my job situation and how does credit play  a role in that aspect. ( I have a 650 credit score with 3 and a half years of perfect payment history the only reason for it still being low is i moved and a old hospital bill was sent to my previous address that i was unaware i had and eventually hit collections.
