2014 New Mortgage Laws

Hi all,

What impact did the new 2014 mortgage laws have on renting back to the sellers after closing? We are supposed to get our commitment letter today, but the bank (last minute) said fannie mae and Freddie mac no longer allow this rent back because of the new laws?!?! Can someone please explain this?
