I am currently in negotiations for what would be my FIRST house hacking experience. Im purchasing a split level on full unfinished basement 5bd 3 1/2 bath house. Where I will convert the basement into a stlylish 1 bedroom apartment for a renter and live in the main house. While renting out my current 3bed 2 bath house. Wish Me Luck!
@Shun Henry , make sure to check the zoning for this new house. If it is R-1 residential or if there is an HOA you may not be allowed to convert it to have 2 units.
