What is the best method for sourcing a reliable/quality contractor/handyman (roofer specifically) in a new area?

Looking at the building permits in Cleveland may be a way to find contractors who are working near your house & you could see who appears most frequently & then contact them. Should hopefully save you some time & narrow down your search.

Driving from flip to flip and seeing who is staying busy. Never hire from a Facebook post or someone who has online presence. All contractors state they can do everything.
