Hi everyone,

I’m new to residential building construction and am currently seeking a deeper understanding of industry standards. Could anyone share what the typical workmanship warranties are for subcontractors such as electricians, plumbers, framers, concrete, and HVAC professionals, particularly in the southern U.S.?

Also, I would like to know the payment requirements for the job.

I know in my area, Subcontractors typically ask for 1/3 of the payment upfront before starting a job.

Appreciate any insights you can offer.

Type Alabama new home warranty act into your preferred search engine.

Look up HBLB and read.

Contractors license law, warranties etc al are specific to the AHJ (authority having jurisdiction)

Thank you a bunch for this information.
