Need Help - Sourcing a contractor in San Jose, CA

Hello all-

This is my first post to the forums and I was curious if I could get some guidance.

I am looking to get a local contractor in to help renovate my fathers home prior to sale. I am learning in the process for my own future REI business while helping my father. Our goal really is to maximize ROI with regards to the updates and not go overboard.

Does anyone have any contacts in the San Jose / Silicon Valley / SF Bay Area that they would recommend?

I would appreciate any advice the community has to offer - thank you all so much for your wisdom and time.

- Chris

Supply/demand for GCs in the SF Bay Area is all sorts of out of whack, in favor of the GC and not the consumer.

If the property is good enough to get conventionally financed as is... then that's it, you're done. Don't do a single thing more than that.

If it's not, just do the bare minimum to make it financeable.

Good luck. The "seller's market" ended last summer in our area.
