tagging feature is not working when replying w/ the Quote button

I don't think the tagging feature is working when replying to posts using the Quote button.  It only seems to work if you re-enter the @member with the reply.  The @member(s) that are in the original post are greyed out and not tagging the person(s).

I've noticed the same thing @Mike Dymski even if I have the box checked "Notify me when a reply is posted"
