Who is on your BP "fantasy team"

I hate these things, as I always end up leaving people out that I meant to include...but here goes...

My general take is that anyone who has accomplished something I'd like to accomplish is on my list, as they clearly have a set of skills that I don't (yet?) have.

Josh Dorkin - Built an awesome company from the ground up

Brandon Turner - Josh may be the good looks of BP, but Brandon is the brains behind the recent epic growth.  Hmmm, wait...I think Brandon is the good looks as well... ;-)

People who have achieved massive scale (something that I believe is the hardest part of most businesses) -- Chris Clothier, Brian Burke, Michael Quarles, Wendell de Guzman, Jay Hinrichs

People I would love to be able to pick up the phone any time of day or night to get advice from -- Jon Klaus, Karen Margrave, Will Bernard, Darren Sager, Jon Holdman, Joel Owens, Bryan Hancock

People who have achieved tremendous success in areas I'm not sure I'd even attempt -- Mike McKinzie, Ben Leybovich, Brian Gibbons, Brie Schmidt, Ann Bellamy, Mark Ferguson

People I respect and trust enough to continually move money back and forth with in the real world -- Todd Whiddon, Cal Crowden, Ned Carey, Brandon Turner, Christina Ramirez, Ray Browne (and several others who I'm not going to mention because I'm not sure they want to be called out in this capacity)

People I don't always agree with, but who provide tremendous knowledge that always forces me to rethink my ideas and positions -- Bill G, Rich Weese

People who have been instrumental in getting me to where I am today -- That's about 1000 of you guys and gals...I can't name just a few...

    Seriously, there are some great marketing types here, very good managers and doers. Hard to select just a few, to me it depends on what the operation would be, commercial, residential, muti-family or single family.

    I see I'm getting a reputation as the cop on the beat, but it's not like I can't sell ice cubes to an Eskimo, I'd put a fly in the ice cube and sell the fly, not the ice! They don't have many flies way up north!

    My Special Operations Team?

    Ben, you'd be my multi-family operations sniper!

    Brian Burke would take charge of my Special Weapons Platoon

     Steve Babiak would have Special Operations Intelligence

    Michael Quarles would me my Psyc. Ops leader.

    J. Scott would head up the Special Operation Engineer Platoon.

    Steven Hamilton II would be assigned to HQ, finance and accounting support.

    Dion DePaoli Special Operations Specialist Executive Officer

    Now, for the Forward Edge of the Battle Area Operators:

    Brian Gibbons for his tactical maneuvers, he can put a plug into a thread slicker than anyone.

    K. Marie Poe, creative thinking, gutsy and charges at the drop of a word in a contract.

    Joel Owens is a brawler, he'll go hand to hand and sneaks under the BS detectors for the kill.

    Actually, all of you! I would go into battle on the field of real estate with any of you! Each of you have a special personality with a desire to win, learn and succeed. While many of you haven't finished your basic training yet, by being here you have demonstrated your desire to take on the fight. There are many seasoned veterans here as well that I'd be proud to serve with. Good luck!  :)

    If I actually made a list of names for my team It would be well over a hundred members here on BP .

      I value everyone opinions ,how I view things  changes over time  as I gain more experience.

    I learn a lot reading about your methods and what works in your area.

    Lots and lots of wisdom here.

     Thanks @J Scott for having the honor to be included in this awesome list of people who have achieved massive scale. I can't beat @Chris Clothier's scale in houses (being one of the top 50 home buyers in America)..can't beat @Brian Burke's 20-year experience in rehabs and now apartment buildings...can't beat @Michael Quarles' NLP and number of motivated sellers he has talked with...and can't beat @Jay Hinrichs' experience in rehab lending. I guess I do have scale in wholesaling and in the diversity/ creativity of deal-making...but still...I feel humbled being put together along side these real estate GIANTS.

    And as far as my answer to the dream team...

    I would gladly have: @J Scott, @Brian Burke, @Ben Leybovich, and @Jay Hinrichs to my dream team :-)

    Thanks @Steve Olafson that's kind of you.  I'm not sure I belong on any "dream teams", but yes I do evaluate a lot of multifamily.

    We currently have over 500 units under contract and my partner was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal yesterday and a deal we recently purchased in Florida will apparently be featured as their "deal of the week" next Wed.  Pretty crazy.

    See, I missed Sean S., he's a shoe in for the Intelligence Analyst directing Ben's sniper activities.

    I'd say with myself, that rounds out the "Dirty Dozen" Special Operations Team.

    PT at 0500 Hours, Chow at 0630, Recon heads out at 0715, the rest of you Operators are on standby, full alert!  Cadets, report to your classes. Carry on! :)

    EVERYONE on BP that has ever helped me out with information is part of my fantasy team! There's just too many great minds with different experiences, in various niches, to only name a few - and that's what makes BP so good. It's a FANTASY TEAM in and of itself, with people on deck everyday, ready to help.

    Though I must say it's fun reading everyone else's picks.

    I'm fairly new to BP, but I keep seeing the same names mention over and over.  I would to thank all you guys for your contribution to help us new investors.  It's amazing how you guys find time to contribute to BP all these years.  You guys all inspire me. I hope someday I will get to that level and be able to share my knowledge with other investors.  

    @Joshua D. @Brandon Turner Maybe it's time for another BP Summit so we can meet all the superstars in person to say thanks.

    I, like most others, would include everybody who has answered a question for me directly, everyone who has answered a question for me I didn't even know I wanted to ask (I have a solo 401k account that before BP I didn't know was an option, so I guess thank you @Joshua D.) and especially thank you to the people who correct my own wrong answers.

    That said here are q few groups of people that deserve an @ttaboy;

    Since I'm mainly in Tax liens (and deeds), my "go to experts";

    @Ned Carey

    @Tom Yung

    @Wayne Brooks

    @Richard D.

    People who introduced me to other investors to answer questions include the "Chicago connections" of  @Brie Schmidt, @Zach Shepard, @Derek Martin, @Wendell De Guzman

    I would be remiss if I didn't mention how awesome @Steven Hamilton II is for answering accounting/tax questions with the appropriate caveats a licensed professional needs to include.

    And those who write great blogs on topics that catch my attention with their complete openness on deals; @Dawn Anastasi, @Seth Williams,  on deals@Shaun Reilly

    And I'm humbled by those reach out with a colleague request based on a forum answer or blog post I've written.

    Oh yeah, as a comedy writer myself (I know not much of what I do on BP is comedy except for my wrong answers) I am always impressed with a funny post. So @Natalie Kolodij there is a colleague request coming your way because you're posts in this thread alone are fantastic!

    @Karen Margrave for keeping me in check and making sure I have my facts straight.

    @Antonio Coleman for marketing. Using his methods I have been able to sell properties within days without a real estate agent. Thanks for saving me 6% in fees.

    @Joshua D. and @Brandon Turner for creating and running BP, without it; I would not have learned so much in such little time.

    @Hattie Dizmond she has great organization skills, and a wealth of knowledge about the D/FW area. She is an inspiration to be more organized. 

    Thank you @Jerry K. for the mention. I am greatful that BP has given me an opportunity to help others.

    @Jay Hinrichs my go to when it comes to investing in niches that I am not familiar
