I hate these things, as I always end up leaving people out that I meant to include...but here goes...

My general take is that anyone who has accomplished something I'd like to accomplish is on my list, as they clearly have a set of skills that I don't (yet?) have.

Josh Dorkin - Built an awesome company from the ground up

Brandon Turner - Josh may be the good looks of BP, but Brandon is the brains behind the recent epic growth.  Hmmm, wait...I think Brandon is the good looks as well... ;-)

People who have achieved massive scale (something that I believe is the hardest part of most businesses) -- Chris Clothier, Brian Burke, Michael Quarles, Wendell de Guzman, Jay Hinrichs

People I would love to be able to pick up the phone any time of day or night to get advice from -- Jon Klaus, Karen Margrave, Will Bernard, Darren Sager, Jon Holdman, Joel Owens, Bryan Hancock

People who have achieved tremendous success in areas I'm not sure I'd even attempt -- Mike McKinzie, Ben Leybovich, Brian Gibbons, Brie Schmidt, Ann Bellamy, Mark Ferguson

People I respect and trust enough to continually move money back and forth with in the real world -- Todd Whiddon, Cal Crowden, Ned Carey, Brandon Turner, Christina Ramirez, Ray Browne (and several others who I'm not going to mention because I'm not sure they want to be called out in this capacity)

People I don't always agree with, but who provide tremendous knowledge that always forces me to rethink my ideas and positions -- Bill G, Rich Weese

People who have been instrumental in getting me to where I am today -- That's about 1000 of you guys and gals...I can't name just a few...

    @Linda Weygant

    I have a co-worker who actually has bees. So I can sub that out.

    ....this is why people assume everyone in Washington are hippies huh? I'm going to stop talking now.

    I prefer to work alone.  With that said, I would take a few people that I have had discussions with on my team.

    @Joel Owens

    @Brian Burke

    @Serge S.

    @Jay Hinrichs

    @J Scott

    I'm sure that there are others that have been missed.  I like the strategies of these folks though.

    Sheesh...this is why I hate writing these things...I always leave people out...

    I make it no secret that the very first person I ever asked to "please allow me to take you to dinner and pick your brain" was @Steve Olafson (I had to fly to another state to do it and I think he may have even paid for the steak dinner!).

    Most of the real estate analysis techniques I learned before I ever purchased my first property were from Steve, and I'm still hoping we can be on the same real estate team some day!

     CPAs are in high demand around here...stick around and you may get added to several teams!

    Thanks for the mention and kind words @Chris Clothier

    A few similar threads have been started in the past and I agree with @J Scott that they are so difficult to answer, particularly when the question technically limits you to 4 and you always want more! Plus you inherently are going to leVe someone out that you did not intend to.

    For me, "Dream Team" would be those who could supersize my business and my profits, taking it well beyond what it is today. To do that, I would bring on @Joel Owens whom I respect, who has always taken my calls, and always seems to have the answers and right mindset in the commercial space. My business is in need of a major position in the commercial space.

    @Chris Clothier whom I also respect and have heard speak live. He has built up a very successful business in a short period of time and would be my major player in property management, acquisitions of residential properties, etc.

    @J Scott because he does almost exactly what I do, although in a different area and at lower price points, but the processes and mind sets are inline. He would be like adding a second me and together, we could probably do four times what each of us do individually. Can you say cha ching!

    @Mr. Money Bags whomever he or she is on BP with the most capital. Need I say more captain obvious?!

     Great list! Glad to be a part of it. I would love to be able to scale my flipping business like you have. In fact you inspired me to hire a dedicated repair and maintenance manager.

    Well I usually hate self-aggrandizing, moral hectoring, and sanctimonious preaching but since I'm not blowing my own horn here, but rather blowing the horn of others (...wait that sounded bad...)  I'll add my half qualified opinion.  This list consists of experienced and super intelligent RE people that have reached out to help others with style and aplomb.

    Too many names come to mind but in no particular order, one of my dream teams would have:

    @Jay Hinrichs to fly his airplane with a "We buy houses!" flag and for his macro level view

    @Ben Leybovich for risk management and analysis

    @Brie Schmidt for execution so we actually buy something

    @Wendell Deguzman to wholesale anything from real estate to distressed countries like Venezuela with a good ARV (After Revolution Value)

    Joking aside, there is a lot of brain power and wisdom on this site. Thanks to all members for sharing their stories, knowledge, opinions, and experiences!

    Thanks for the shout-outs y'all.  I'm flattered!

    My dream team isn't on BP, it's my awesome staff, some of whom have worked for me for over a decade.  If I had to start all over again I'd assemble a team that looks like this:

    @Joshua D. because he knows how to build a successful business and he's got connections.

    @Brandon Turner to handle my multimedia outreach.

    @Bill Gulley because I buy multifamily and these two guys really know what they are talking about, and both have been there and done that.

    This would get me started, then I have 481 colleagues and over 100,000 other BP brothers and sisters to back this up.  I could list about 20 more highly talented BP members that come to mind but by now you're already bored with my long post.  So if you didn't see your name, that doesn't mean that I didn't think of you or wouldn't want you included.

    Good luck assembling your teams everyone!

    OK - I see the answer to this question a little differently. Lots of people on BP are better, with more experience, perspective, and accomplishments than I - having all of them on my team would be something special, though unrealistic...

    I see this in terms of - if I were to go into battle, who would I want with me that wouldn't put a knife in my back when I weren't looking - who can I be sure of?! And additionally, whose knowledge base complements my own...

    There are a few people that would make the cut, but the following list would represent the heart:

    @Brandon Turner - my friend and marketing

    @Serge S. - my friend, CPA, Schtickle master

    @Brian Burke - my friend, most knowledgeable and connected guy in RE

    @Sreenath Vemulapalli - my friend and confedant

    @J Scott - cause I could never do what he does, and it needs to be done...

    @Joshua D. - my friend, the most straight-shooting, honest, fair guy in RE. We need a CEO. What he has shown being able to do is amazing...

    Finally, @Bill Gulley sounds to be the best informed compliance person on BP. God knows - with Serge S and Brian Burke on the team, I would be well advised to have a compliance specialist!

    There are several off-grid people to add to this list. However, with these guys, I could flat out pick up Russia and move it to America - and rule it!

    BAM!

    @Mindy Jensen => You would definitely be on my fantasy team, I have heard about those neighborhood parties!

    @Kevin Perk => You and I have similar tenant selection methods

    @All the other BP Posters => There are far too many here to list.  I pick up a lot of tips, mostly good.  Also many have opened my eyes to different ideas on Real Estate.
