When you get an email that someone is following you on BP what does this mean .. when I look at my stats I hundreds of people following me.. what exactly does that mean? and why are they doing that ?

I could be wrong, but I think it means that the person following you gets a notification whenever you post something. Otherwise, if I'm wrong, then you may need a restraining order for all your stalkers :)
