why is it against the rules to post your number

Question

Why is it against the rules to post your number in the deal making forum?

An how do you post things in your signature, not everyone knows how to do that, an not many REAL investors spend time on forums to even learn how.

Over the years we've had dozens of complaints from members who posted their contact info and were then harassed by others and spammed by email because their information was then available to anyone with a computer.  Forum signatures are only seen by other members . . . if anyone then gets spammed or harassed, we can immediately remove those people from the site.

We do it to protect our members.

BTW - As for claiming that REAL investors don't spend time on forums, I think the thousands of others here who are real investors and who frequent this site would disagree.

you are right. you are far too advanced for this site. none of us here are 'REAL' investors. each and every one of us are posers.
