@Mindy Jensen - In order to get more people to apply it was wise of you to leave out the part where you'd have to to work with @Brandon Turner and @Joshua D.

Ahh - unfortunately, we are only going to look at applicants that can physically work out of our Denver office five days per week for this financial analyst position.

It would appear that @Aaron Mazzrillo and I have similar dream jobs ... save I have no desire to go fishing every day - or all day - did my share if that growing-up.

Please count me in as well if any remote positions become available I currently remote part time for my current Financial Auditing job and already have my office set up and I'm trying to work into real estate full time on the side with a few rentals and flips under my belt at the moment. would love to be on the team if anything ever became available. I have a resume and references waiting if that ever happens. Good luck on filling your positions! Kyle Allen
Speaking as a senior Rails dev here, you will have a much easier time finding someone if you open up to remote possibilities.
Agreed ... I circulated an earlier BP job posting to the rail-riders I know and none of them were keen on relocation.
Not surprised, everyone I know who has taken a new job in the last 2 years has taken remote. It's hard to compete against heavy hitting Rails companies (Salesforce, Basecamp, GitHub, Shopify) that offer big compensation packages and remote positions.

I have a commercial real estate company and I have tried all of the outsourcing over the years.
It never works out as their is divided interests.
Overseas people there is time zone conflicts, language barriers, unpredictable weather storms and power sources etc.
In the states I found that the virtual assistance companies charge about as much as if you had a full time employee! I have even looked at part timers locally and that doesn't work either.
So the people at those companies are doing jobs for 10 or 20 other companies at the same time. These days I like having a full time employee at the company that works on my company full time and nothing else. No other jobs are allowed. I do lower base pay and then bonus based on how hard they work and metrics hit. I do not believe in paying a high salary as it can breed people gaming the system and doing minimal work for a check. If workers know they will be handsomely rewarded for doing good then the motivated ones will rise to the top. The average or lazy workers will get weeded out or never start to begin with.
I like for everyone to win and share in the success of the company. Superstars are hard to find maybe 10 to 20% of workers out there.
Some workers want high pay and ultra flexibility but that may be at odds with what is best for a business.

Hi Mindy,
I tried to check out "Your Dream Job" link and nothing appears to happen upon clicking on "Apply for Position". I am interested to check out all positions available. Also, do I need to be local to Denver area or can it be remote?
Everyone be on the lookout for a financial analyst / bookkeeper position in the coming weeks as well! Problem is that you'll have to be working on the same team as Mindy and I...
