Generally the attorney weighs in on the asset protection angle and the CPA on the tax strategy angle, so you need the advice of both. I would start with the attorney, because the CPA can adjust your tax filing no mater what entity type you end up with. Most people buy properties in LLCs and/or Trusts, It it would benefit you to file your business return as an S Corp, the CPA will file a S Corp election for you which will give you the tax benefits of an S Corp even though you are organizationally an LLC.

agree with Patti above. in Florida, you can also learn from Attorney Mark Warda's books, available on Amazon and in local libraries. after weighing your options, you can file the documents yourself, too.

Good Day I am trying to start my real estate business and need help structuring my corporation. Who usually does this a CPA? and if so is anyone in or around Clearwater, FL?
