I am 16 and I am in high school. I have been doing plenty of listening and reading about real estate for the past 6 months or so. I am now stuck because I feel like I need to learn from experience and not just read books that say the all same thing. I would just like to know what you would do?
There’s not a lot you can do until you’re 18. I’d recommend working for someone if you can make that happen otherwise save cash and wait til you’re 18
@John Halverson , do you have anyone who will co-sign with you? You aren't able to sign legally binding documents until you turn 18, and this is a huge hurdle to investing at a young age.
Drive around your town and look at all the real estate signs in people's yards. The same few names will pop up. Contact those people and ask if they need help. Many of these super-lister agents are older, and may not be awesome with technology. Offer to manage their social media accounts, sit with agents at open houses, install signs, run errands, etc.
Tell them your passion for real estate and what you'd eventually like to do. If the first one says no, move on to the next.
