Should I pay for another home inspection?

An investor is selling 2 properties and has already done the inspection and provided the report. Should I do my due diligence and pay for another inspection by a company of my choice? Or am I being too paranoid?

Yes do your own inspection.  It will give you piece of mind and potentially help you negotiating a lower price or kill a deal that could be a money pit.
