Are you able to rent out mobile homes in parks?

Sorry if this question is dumb. But are you able to rent out a mobile home that's in a mobile park? Or is that more complicated?

It depends on the written agreement the owner of the mobile home has with the owner of the park. Some will allow it, others might not.

Absolutely! There's a couple guys in my area that don't ever keep ownership of the mobile homes themselves, even if they come with the park when they buy it. How do they do it?

They rent-to-own them all! Many of the existing tenants are excited that for only $100 - 200 more per month, they own their own trailer in just a few years.

A lot of perks for the owner as well, since trailer maintenance can be a thorn in your side. They aren't built like permanent houses, they are continually depreciating. Oy.

@Tenisha Walker I think if you have a written lease agreement available to review, you specifically want to look for being able to “sub-let” or “subletting” - not sure what other term they may use, maybe “lease assignment?”
