Finding owners with a portfolio of houses

Searching my local GIS for owners who have multiple single family homes or multifamily houses. This is taking forever, does anyone know of a better way to search or how to get a list of owners with multiple properties in a particular town? Anything to make this easier would be great and I appreciate it!! Want to try to locate a portfolio of properties and make them an offer.

@Nicholas Preston try searching the Secretary of State website for whichever particular state you are looking in and use the Search Businesses function on the website. Then, search the word "Properties" and you will find probably a large number of businesses with the word Properties somewhere in the business name. You may then use the full business name to search GIS and it should pull up all the properties owned under that LLC or Corp.
