Looking for equity partners, where to start?

Hi BP!

I'm an aggressive DYI person but I'm expanding my network and looking at projects bigger than one man can do. I'm looking for silent, equity partners for vacation rentals in Florida. Where can I start looking? I've seen some Facebook groups but something about Facebook seems dubious. I've looked on the BP website and I'm either a doofus and can't find a forum to discuss deals and find partners, or there is none. Other than reaching out to friends and family, where do you look?

I'm in the same boat. I'm 33, very handy DIY. I bought a multi about 8 years ago and did the long term sweat equity route. I'm putting my place on the market (it goes live in 2 weeks) and I'm going to cash out. I'll be moving to Florida and buying asap down there. I would be interested to discuss your/our goals.

If you are looking for "silent, equity partners for vacation rentals in Florida," what are you bringing to the table? Why would someone want to give you money and be silent about it? What's your history of property rehab, sales, etc? How many flips have you done? How many Airbnbs have you managed? Are you going to be deal-finding off-market and if so, how? Lots of people want other people's money, but you have to at least give an idea (more than you are DIY) of where your value is going to lie in the proposition.

You could reach out to investor friendly realtors. If they won't be an equity partner themselves, they sure have clients that would be.
