How to locate the Listing Agent:

As I'm sitting home late on a Friday night, after Real Estate Office hours, I am finding that I struggle with finding the name/number/email of the listing agent on houses I'm interested in placing an offer on. Realtor.com only shows the Brokerage name, same on Zillow and Trulia. I'm not a licensed agent so do not have access to the MLS. How do I get the name of the listing agent for properties other than driving by it?

Any reason you don't want to be represented by an agent and want to do transactions yourself while unlicensed?

The reason I ask is there is literally zero advantage to being unrepresented. None. You don't save commissions, you don't really save time, you get no advice from the listing agent etc.

If you were finding sellers off market it would be different, but if you're going to buy houses already listed then you should get acquainted with a competent agent.

When I go to Realtor.com, toward the bottom, under "additional details", it says "Listing Brokered by"...and it only shows Company name and office phone number.  Was hoping to find the listing agents name without having to call the office during business hours.  I struggle with getting the listing agents name when I call the office because the agent answering the phone insists on helping me.

Those websites sometimes have the listing agent but will always have the brokerage. Just call the brokerage and say you are interested in "1829 East 10th street" and they will get you to the right person.  Ahh, I just noticed that you included that you are looking after real estate office hours.

Call the office and ask for the contact information of the listing agent. You don't have to be a member of MLS to get an agents name and phone number. You can also probably find it by googling the address of the listing.

Realtor.com shows the listing agent name and office number. Go to your local realtor association and look up their profile.
