Harper's Ferry, WV?

I'm new to real estate investing. I live in a high cost of living area (northern virginia)

I am interested in the possibility of multifamily homes or multiple condos/townhomes in lower cost of living areas near by - about 1-2 hours away.


Can anyone tell me more about the Harper's Ferry, WV market? or other markets driving distance to NOVA that you feel are worth looking into for a first time investor?
