How do you chose where to fix&flip?

Hi

I have some experience with rentals, however, I want to switch to fix & flip.

The properties I have are in the Midwest, but that's too far away from where I live (NYC). I was doing research, and I'm unsure where/how to find the first property to fix and flip. I should be less than 2 hours from here, but not sure what else I should consider.

Any suggestions/Advice?
