Triplexes or Quadplexes for Sale

I'm exploring the idea of purchasing a triplex or fourplex and want to get more intentional with analyzing deals before jumping in. I'd love to hear from people, what platforms or tools you use to identify /analyze multifamily properties (triplexes, quadplexes) for sale.

How did you get started with your first small multifamily investment? What helped you build confidence to pull the trigger?

I am currently located in Mississippi and work as a CRE Lender. I am looking into markets like, North Alabama, Memphis MSA, Tennessee.

I think house hacking and investing in your own back yard is the best way to build confidence and mitigate your risks. Lots of people think that they can make things less risky by investing elsewhere to increase their cash flow, but lack of resources and relationships is a HUGE liabiity.

That being said, connect with a local agent who works with investors in the markets you are exploring. Someone actively investing and doing deals in those markets will understand the nuances much better than you will from a distance.
