Shenandoah Valley VA or Ocean City MD

Lisa Park
Posted

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are new to this and are considering buying a vacation home/STR either in Shenandoah Valley, VA or Ocean City, MD. Our budget is around $100-150K, and the goal is for the STR income to cover the mortgage.

Based on the numbers I’ve run, Shenandoah feels like the safer option since it attracts visitors year round, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you have any suggestions or insights on which area might be a better fit?

Thanks in advance! :)

Lisa

@Lisa Park  The Shenandoah Valley has been a great option for alot of our DC/ NOVA clients. I recommend reaching out to @Michael H. Cook , he's an expert in that market.
